                                Reservation/Damage Deposit

A reservation deposit of $500 must be paid by either E-transfer, cash or Debit at the time of reserving the rental trailer, and must accompany the completed and signed rental contract.  This deposit will be transferred to your damage deposit at the start of the rental period. This will be refunded after the rental trailer is returned and inspected.   The deposit will  NOT be subtracted from your rental fees at the time of  rental fee payment.

All trailers will be signed out at the time of pickup, and signed in at the time of drop off. CETR will do a complete inspection of the trailer within 48 hrs of the trailers return.

If at the time of inspection, there is any missing or damaged items, the replacement or repair cost will be subtracted from your deposit, and any outstanding costs will be charged to your credit card.  Proof of such costs will be emailed to you prior to us doing so.

* Your deposit will be refunded within 48 hrs by E-Transfer.

** All credit card information will be destroyed after the trailer is inspected at the end of the rental term and any outstanding charges are paid for in full.                          Insurance

      Rental Payment

The rental amount is due in either, cash, credit card, Debit or E-Transfer, 24 HRS. PRIOR  to the camping trailer is picked-up, unless previous arrangements are made to pay cash or use the Debit machine at the time of pick up. 

For delivery service, the rental fees and delivery fees are due in full 7 DAYS PRIOR to delivery, unless previous arrangements are made to pay cash at the time of delivery.

      The Agreement

I would like to reserve/rent  a camping trailer from City Escapes Trailer Rentals. I understand that City Escapes Trailer Rentals must approve the Contract and dates available before the reservation can be confirmed . If approved, I will pay the deposit to City Escapes Trailer Rentals at the time of booking the rental trailer.  I approve City Escapes Trailer Rentals to charge my credit card any balance that exceeds my damage deposit, in the event of damages that happened while the rental trailer was in my possession. . I and City Escapes Trailer Rentals have the right to cancel the reservations under this contract. If I cancel my reservation 30-45 days prior to the rental period start date, I will be charged 25% of the reservation deposit as a cancellation fee.  If I cancel my rental less than 30 days prior to the rental period start date,  the total reservation deposit is non-refundable.   I agree that if for unforeseen reasons if the camping trailer I reserved is unavailable at the time of pick-up or delivery, City Escapes Trailer Rentals has the right to offer me a camping trailer of equal or higher value at no additional cost. .

   Rental Terms And Conditions.

  Rental Requirements.

All renters must be 25 years of age and have a valid “G” license for a minimum of 6 years. All renters must have proof of valid insurance including policy number of the vehicle towing the rental trailer.

 Insurance.

All renters will be required to have a valid insurance slip for the vehicle towing the rental trailer that carries $2 million Liability coverage. Comprehensive coverage is covered in the rental contract. We require that you contact your insurance company prior to towing the rental trailer. Most policies include towing a trailer, boat, utility trailer Etc. Renters must sign a waiver (rental contract) to accept responsibility for any damage occurred while the rental trailer is in the renters possession. The credit card information on the Rental Contract must be filled out, to be left on file at CETR. Inc.

 ** All credit card information will be destroyed after  the trailer is inspected and any missing interior, exterior damages, toll charges, accidents, insurance deductions and traffic violations are paid for in full.

   Reservations / Rental Payment / Damage Deposit.

       The Rental Contract must be completely filled out, signed and returned with the reservation deposit to reserve a rental trailer. The rental payment must be paid in full 24 hrs before the time of trailer pick up.

            The reservation deposit of $500 must be paid by either E-transfer, cash or Debit at the time of reserving the rental trailer. 

This deposit will be transferred to your damage deposit at the start of your rental period. This will be refunded after the rental trailer is returned and inspected, and will NOT be subtracted from your rental fees at the time of  rental fee payment.

                                                Rental Period.

            A minimum of one week rentals for July and August, please. The rental period runs for 7 days for a week, 3 days for a weekend, and 4 days for a long weekend.  Your pickup/delivery days and return/pickup days are included as rental days.  Pickup times are 8-5, unless other arrangements are agreed upon.  Drop off is by 2 PM.

( If at anytime a rental unit is available before the scheduled pick-up time the rental trailer can be picked-up the evening before at no charge, appointment required ) 

There will be no refunds for late pick-ups or early returns of the rental trailer. If the rental trailer is returned late there will be a $25 / hour for each hour the rental is late.

 Rental Trailer Pick-ups.

When you pick up your rental trailer we will give you a hands on demonstration showing you where everything is, how to set up and take down and operate the equipment.  At this time the customer will sign out the trailer.

            An information booklet with a set up and take down check list will be in your rental trailer. Our phone number will be in this booklet in case you have problems with either set-up or take down.

Any damages or problems with the trailer must be reported IMMEDIATELY to the phone number provided in the booklet!!!

            Towing Requirements. 

The renter must ensure their vehicle is fitted with the proper equipment needed to tow the rental trailer. The renter must ensure their wiring is in working condition in order for the  blinkers and running lights to operate properly.  Your vehicle must be equipped with an electronic braking controller system, as all our trailers have electric brakes.  The minimum hitch height is 18” from flat ground to the bottom of the hitch port.  If you vehicle is lower or higher, you must inform CETR 24-48 hrs prior to picking up the rental trailer.  We will adjust the hitch accordingly before your pick up time.

 Your vehicle weights and towing limits are in the vehicles owners manual. The rental trailer weights and towing requirements will be in the trailer specifications section on CETR’s website.

                                       Delivery and Pick-up Service.

If your vehicle doesn’t have a hitch or your vehicle is too small to pull the trailer you are looking at renting, CETR offers a delivery and pick-up service for the trailer you want to rent to a pre-arranged ( Reserved ) campsite. We will deliver set-up and take down at the end of your vacation for the cost of mileage calculated @ $1.75 per KM each way plus tax.  Delivery within 25 KM of our yard is a flat fee of $85.00 plus tax.

For example : 4504 Marion St. Dorchester Ont.  To Pinery Provincial Park, Ont. is 86 km’s x 2 = 172 km’s x $1.75 = $301.00 plus taxes. (mileage price subject to change without notice due to rising fuel costs) All delivery and pick-up routes are calculated by shortest route on Google Maps.

It is the renters responsibility to pre-reserve an appropriate size campsite for the rental trailer and provide all reservation information and a delivery time on the rental contract. Be aware that pickup time is 10:30-11:00 am, and the renter MUST be present for both delivery and pickup of the rental trailer..

Please make sure the campsite you reserve is big enough for the trailer you are  renting. All costs incurred at time of delivery i.e.: an inappropriate campsite, park entry fees if charged, etc will be subtracted from the renters deposit when the delivery driver returns to CETR. ( receipts provided) If the campground does not have a waste dumping station, a $55 dumping fee plus tax will be charged to the customer to dump the tanks elsewhere.

            All rental and delivery fees MUST be paid in full 7 days PRIOR to trailer delivery. The rental trailer will NOT leave our yard until the fees are paid in full, unless previous arrangements to pay cash at the time of delivery have been made.

 Cleaning.

                         We do not supply your cleaning supplies!!

         The rental trailer must be returned in the clean condition you picked it up in. IE: all surfaces wiped down, all cupboards wiped out, fridge, freezer and stove cleaned, bathroom cleaned and floors swept.  This will be checked at the time the trailer is returned before the customer signs in the trailer. ( at time of pick up before the customer signs off on the trailer).

            Failure to comply with the above will result in a cleaning charge. All rental trailers will be inspected for damages, missing items and cleanliness upon return. If the rental trailer is not clean a $50/ per ½ hour cleaning charge will be deducted from your damage deposit.

           Please do not use abrasive cleansers, pads, brushes or steel wool on any surface. We require you to make sure the grey and black tanks are dumped and septic hose is cleaned out before the trailer is returned. ** Failure to do so will result in a $55 +tax dumping charge for us to take it elsewhere to dump the tanks.

                                                      Lost and Found.

           CETR is not responsibly for items lost, stolen, or left inside the trailer. Please ensure all your belongings are removed from the rental trailer. We will hold anything for 30 days and try to return them to the last customer.

         Smoking. 

             There Is Absolutely No Smoking Permitted In The Rental Trailers.

                                                                Pets.

                Dogs are welcome on your vacation, but must NEVER be left unattended in the trailer unless it is crated. (Do NOT lock your dog in the bathroom!!!!)  Any damages caused by the renters dog is the responsibility of the renter. Damages and loss of rental income will be charged to the renter.  The renter will be provided with estimates, receipts and a detailed bill of the lost rental charges at the time their credit card being charged the difference of their damage deposit.
